WHO: Our club serves boys and girls in grades Pre-K through High School.
WHAT: AWANA Clubs meet in churches all across the nations, and even around the world. The goal of AWANA Clubs everywhere is to reach each kids with the gospel and lead them to know, love and serve Jesus Christ!
Working towards that goal, club time at Christ The King Fellowship AWANA includes interesting Scripture based lessons, awesome crafts and other activities centered on God’s Word, the Bible. We play games with friends, and earn awards! We also send home age-appropriate handbooks for the kids to work throughout the week.
Depending on their age your child will be a part of one of the following groups:
- Cubbies- is a program designed for Pre- Schoolers 3-5 year olds. (We can also include Pre-K kiddos who have been potty trained.) The goal of Cubbies is to help our younger children grasp simple biblical truths. In Cubbies, we keep kids engaged with with puppet shows, scripture focused lessons, crafts, and more! The handbooks that will come home with your child each week have simple Scripture memory verses and fun parent-child activities. At club, your Cubbies will also review the verses and concepts you worked with them on at home.
- Sparks- is a program designed for 1st and 2nd grade children with a focus on learning about the people and events of the Bible—building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Handbooks for the Sparks include memory verses, Bible background, and more.
- T&T- is a for 3rd – 5th graders. The material is focused on helping our kids learn about our salvation in Christ in an in depth way; and also helps equip them to continue walking faithfully with Christ for the rest of their days! The material also answers common questions about God and the Bible that kids this age ask, which helps them build a stronger relationship with our Lord.
- Journey/ Leaders In Training– High schoolers work their way through reading and studying the entire Bible with the help of their leaders. In depth Bible studies focus on Christian living in a way that is relevant to teens. Teen AWANA members also have the option to participate as “Leaders in Training” and help with the groups for younger kids, games, and more. High schoolers who complete the AWANA program through Journey may even be eligible for AWANA college scholarships.
WHEN: Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00PM, beginning September 16, 2016. Enrollment in the program is always open! Kids are welcome to join the program at any point in the year. The material is designed to allow kids to integrate at any point throughout the year.
