As the world is rushing headlong toward an appointed time, orchestrated by God Himself, only the overcomers can anticipate such a divine moment.
The church triumphant, stands with hands and hearts lifted high, totally focused on the assurance, blessed as it truly is, that Christ the Lord has redeemed a people who have been called, chosen and set apart for His divine will and purposes. Meanwhile, the scoffers and defiant ones, increasingly, with ever greater intensity, hurl their insults and derogatory accusations against the saints of God and the Lord whom they serve.
Yet not to be deterred, the church triumphant, caudles not to the whims and wiles of a world culture that is positioned to pay no heed to the biblical warnings of impending judgment and doom. Seemingly content in their aggrandizing pseudo-intellectual posture, they deny the God who has created them; spurning the salvation wrought for them through Christ Jesus the Lord.
The church is assured in the holy scriptures that we are on the correct side of history; as sojourners/pilgrims we are only passing through this land; as soldiers in the Lord’s army we are equipped with the necessary armor to stand firm in the faith and to battle the spiritual darkness by God’s means and to demonstrate and preach the Gospel with all authority and blessing; and we are not discouraged in the face of much strife, turmoil and increasing wickedness; and finally the promise of Isaiah 26:3 is being lived out in the saints who know that, “He will keep us in perfect peace, whose minds are stayed on Him.”
With God’s grace, equipped with the whole armor of God, let us proclaim the truth that our God is the Living God; our Savior is alive and is prepared to come again; and He will provide the peace, joy, love and contentment of which the world longs for, but of which only He can bring.
Dear saints, don’t lose heart. Keep looking up!
