We are given a direct command from the Lord Jesus Christ to be active representatives of His Kingdom and His righteousness. Therein, the message of the everlasting gospel must be preached; must be lived; must be experienced. There is no way under heaven that we are given the option to relinquish this heavenly responsibility to some passive, inexplicable, meaningless dialogue of passivity.
We can group people, spiritually speaking, into various groups. First, there are those who have no inclination whatsoever to even begin to search things out from a spiritual perspective.
But there’s another group, who may be very spiritual. Their spiritual search may lead them to varying degrees of exploring varieties of world religious thought. They may go so deep as to refer to what they have found as the Hidden Mysteries of Divine Thought, (whatever that means). In reality they have truly tapped into a spiritual source that does exist, has been around for millennium, and is doomed, according to the Word of God (the Bible), to come under divine judgment at the appointed time.
Humanists, those who trust in the mind, fortitude, and creativity within the human mind, are another group of religious people. But their religious belief system is built upon the little god of self.
Oh, there are those who are Theosophists. They combine all world religions. A couple of more recent world leaders who have bought into the founder, Madam Blavatsky’s cult teaching were men like Lenin and Hitler. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, was also a Theosophist. You’d be surprised to research and see how many other people were or currently are proponents of this religious philosophy.
And of course, linked to the first group mentioned, there are many who really don’t care. They have no interest in spiritual matters and they have bought into the humanistic religious thought of relativism. Relativism declares that it does not really matter what you believe. Main stream media, for the most part, buys into this lie. As a result they are effectively working as change agents to deceive and mislead millions of souls.
What is a Christian to do? Three simple words provide the answer: PREACH THE WORD. The gospel, centered solely upon the finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His glorious resurrection, which alone brings hope to all humanity, and the fact of His coming again.
Who will listen? Those who have been called. They are the chosen, the elect.
Who and where are they? They are in your families; your work place; your neighborhood; yes, even in your churches.
The apostle John writes, “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” (1 John 5:11,12)
Remain steadfast, immovable to the calling which is upon all those who call upon the name of the Lord always. The message must be proclaimed.
